Neil Johnson
Upon graduating from The Haven with a B.S. in Biology-Chemistry in 1983., Neil returned to England where he started work as a sales representative in the Pharmaceutical Industry with Eli Lilly. He also played soccer for Goole Town in the Northern Premier League.
In 1984, Neil married Aleta Jo Fry, a girl he met at Lock Haven in his Senior year. They had two kids (Laura and Stuart) and lived in England until 1987. In May 1987 Neil's family returned to United States with a job transfer with Merck. Neil has worked for Merck for the past 25 years in various roles: Sales rep, Sales Manager, Product Marketing, Sales Training and currently as a National Account Executive.
During the past 20 years, Neil has kept involved with soccer by coaching. He has held the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) 'A' Coaching License since 1998. His coaching experience includes both girls and boys teams from Under-6 through College.
At the College level, Neil currently holds the position of Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer Program at Gwynedd-Mercy College. Neil reversed a loosing record of 4-11-4 in 2007 to a winning record of 11-10-0 in 2008. Neil’s 3 year record is now 25-31-4 .
At the High School level, Neil is currently the Head Coach of the Girls Soccer Program at North Penn High School. In seven seasons at North Penn, he has achieved 86-42-6 record, which includes State semi-finalists in 2007, first time in School history.
Neil also coached at the Olympic Development Program level for Eastern Pennsylvania during 1999-2002.
At the youth club level, Neil has coached several youth teams during the past 20 years. His current team, Montgomery United Black Storm U15 Girls are Ranked #1 in Eastern PA.
Neil and Aleta reside in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Laura who graduated from Montclair State University in 2007 is in her 2nd year working for Chrysler Corporation in Northern New Jersey. Stuart is currently a senior at Widener University. Both children played varsity soccer in college!
